​​7,000 lb. Illini State Pro Field-Naturally Super Stock Rules

1) Weight: 7000 lb.  

2) Contest open to agricultural tractors with rubber tires. No four-wheel drives, no dual tires, tire studs, or chains permitted. 

3) Tractors must be stock in appearance to the extent that a tractor shall look like a particular model manufactured by that company. Hoods are required. 

4) Block, crankcase, bellhousing, and rear end must be OEM and bolt together without modification. Block and crankcase shall be no more than 2” forward of stock location. 

5) Minimum drawbar length is 18 inches from the center of the rear axle to the point of hook. Maximum hitch height is 20 inches at hitch point. (Hitch device must be no less than 1 inch thick. Must have 3 inches wide by 3 ¾ inches long opening parallel with the ground.), pulling point may not be more than 1 ½ inch from back edge of hitch. Hitch must be clearly accessible. Hitch must be frame mounted, rigid in all directions, and shall be constructed so that in the event of breakage, the drawbar supports do not pull from a top link or brace above the center of the rear axle. 

6) Tractors shall have a maximum wheelbase of 114 inches. The maximum overall length shall be 13 feet measured from the center of axle to forward.

7) Heads must be manufactured by the same company as engine block. No aluminum or steel billet heads allowed. No machining of head for accepting a casted, re-casted, billet or any other type of insert allowed. No cut heads allowed. 

8) All spark-ignited engines must be naturally aspirated. No turbos, blowers, or superchargers.

 9) No pressurized tanks except LP gas as only fuel source. 

10) No direct fuel injection into head or combustion chamber (except diesel engines). Diesel injection pump must be mechanical. 

11) Fuel Injection or Carburetors allowed. Any number of barrels in any direction allowed. 

12) P-pump or smaller pump is allowed on NA diesels. No sigma injection pumps or electronically controlled injection pumps are allowed on NA diesel engines. 

13) No overhead camshafts allowed except John Deere 2-cylinder engines. 

Fuel and Water 

14) Acceptable fuels are: a) Methanol with a specific gravity of 0.82 @ 60* F. LP and Gas allowed b) Diesel fuel with a dielectric number of 150.0 or less. 

15) Single Port water injection allowed in crossover pipe only. H20 only, no premixed water. All vehicles are required to have a sampling valve in the water injection system to draw from. Water is subject to random testing at any time.

Pro Field Diesel Rules 

21) 380 ci limit, engine decubing allowed for John Deere block casting numbers; R49470, R49650, R59850, R72128 and R87558 

22) Any engine may be used in any chassis. (i.e. IH engine in Deere chassis) 

23) 5.9 Cummins allowed in any tractor. 

24) 2 valves per cylinder maximum. 

25) Diesel fuel only. P-pump or smaller allowed. No sigma and or electronic fuel injection systems allowed. 

26) 3500 RPM maximum, no tolerance. 

27) Tractor must be equipped with ISSPRO 019R8906, 2-wire sensor. Wire must be in full view and be connected to a standard 110volt female, grounded receptacle located in similar position as kill switch might be located. 

28) Turbo: Out-of-the-box Borg-Warner SX-E 366 (new part number 13009097049 or re-man equivalent). No modifications to the turbo of any kind are allowed, other than external modifications to intake or exhaust housings, strictly for adaptation to intake and exhaust plumbing. The following exhaust housings are allowed: AR ratios of 0.88 - #177211, 0.91 - #177208, or 1.00 - #179905. Turbo must be sealed and serialized (including exhaust housing) by Guenther Heritage Diesel, Walnut, IL. All serial numbers will be recorded and filed with ISP tech committee. Rebuilding, or any other disassembly of turbo must be done by Guenther Heritage Diesel, or competitor may rebuild their turbo themselves at the Guenther shop with an approved witness. No one other than Guenther Heritage Diesel may clip seal wires. Any recertification related work done by Guenther Heritage Diesel is subject to time and materials charges agreed upon, and schedule limitations. Turbo seals are subject to random inspection, and any turbo found with missing or broken seal will result in penalties per the “Disqualification” section. 

29) Turbocharger must be under stock hood or shrouded end to end and 360 degrees around with .060 steel or heavier. Turbo charger must be shrouded if under a fiberglass hood. 

30) All 6000 Super Stock chassis rules apply with the exception of SFI roll over protection. Subject to board approval. 31) Aftermarket axle housings allowed.

Missouri State 6,000 LIGHT PRO FIELD TRACTOR

 

1. Weight Class:
6000 lbs. – all tractors turbo and naturally aspirated

3000 RPM limit with 1% tolerance

No RPM limit on naturally aspirated tractors

Naturally, aspirated gasoline tractors may run one (1) 4-barrel carburetor.
Will allow gas turbocharged motors with 361 cu in or less to run mechanical fuel injection, NO electronic fuel injection.

18.4 x 38 maximum tire size

A 361 cubic inch limit on turbo tractors, 650 cubic inch maximum limit on naturally aspirated tractors

Must run a minimum of a two (2) bar cage
Sheet metal needs to be in the family of the tractor.

Any ag motor with like brand ag rear-ends.

2. All tractors will be equipped with a five-point harness and have a roll cage. (see General Rules)

3. Tractors with tires other than sizes listed above will have their tires measured across the lugs with a tape measure to determine if they are legal.

4. Turbo and non-turbo tractors run in the same weight class.

5. Diesel powered tractors can run any injection pump. Maximum size of a P Pump. No computerized injection systems.

6. No Predator carburetors allowed.

7. Water Injection is allowed.

8. Weights must be secured to the tractor. Rear weights must not be more than 3” maximum behind rear tires. Tractor length is not to exceed 13’ from center of rear axle to farthest point forward including weights. Maximum of 6” tow-hook not included in 13’ length.
